Clifford Pumphrey just passed away on Sept 4th and his brother, Leonard Pumphrey, has given me permission to share the following message that he had posted on Facebook.  I, Mike Johnson, thought all our classmates would want to know that Clifford had passed away and some may want to attend the funeral on Sept 10th.  Leonard's message read as follows:, To all my friends and family, My brother, Clifford, passed away last evening (Sept. 4) suffering from a massive heart attack. I had just taken him for blood work on Tuesday morning. He seemed well. Clifford had suffered since January of 2007 from several mental illnesses. Mental illnesses are not always visible to the eye, so they are often misunderstood. It has been a long and unpredictable journey. Visitation will be on Tuesday, Sept. 10th, from 5:30 p.m.-7:00 p.m., at the Manassas Church of the Brethren (10047 Nokesville Rd. Manassas, VA, aka Rt. 28). The funeral service will be at 7:00 p.m., with Pastor Mandy North officiating. The burial will be a private ceremony later in the week.
